Sydney man chases down alleged thief who stole $94,000 bag of gold

A man allegedly robbed of his $94,000 bag of gold on a Sydney street, has managed to chase down the thief and retrieve his goods.
Police say the owner of the gold stash was dropping a woman off in Chatswood about 2pm on Sunday when another man got in his car, hit him in the face and ran off with the treasure.

The 50-year-old victim chased him down and they got into a fight, and he managed to snatch back his bag of gold.
He was treated at Royal North Shore Hospital for lacerations to his face and police seized items for a forensic investigation.
