Daniel Morcombe’s older brother announces his engagement
Dean Morcombe and his soon-to-be-wife Alice.
Four months after Daniel Morcombe’s twin brother welcomed his first child, the slain Queensland schoolboy’s eldest brother has announced his engagement.
Dean proposed to his girlfriend Alice Webb in New Zealand last week.
Their engagement follows Daniel’s twin, Bradley, welcoming his first child with his wife Anna in July.
The baby was named Winston Daniel George Morcombe.
“They’re always smiling and they are a happy couple,” father Bruce Morcombe told The Courier-Mail of Dean and Alice.
“The proposal and engagement has been very welcome by the family indeed.”
Earlier this year, the High Court refused to grant Daniel’s convicted killer Brett Peter Cowan leave to appeal.
Cowan abducted and murdered 13-year-old Daniel in 2003, and will be eligible for parole in 2031.
