Dangerous driver's dumb decision comes back to haunt him
A driver who cut off a truck in morning traffic has had his comeuppance after his recklessness was quickly spotted by police.
The truck was travelling along Military Road in Mosman, on Sydney's lower north shore, yesterday morning when the incident occurred.
Vision uploaded to Dash Cam Owners Australia today, which has been viewed more than 103,000 times since being uploaded, shows the annoying predicament the truck driver was placed in.
Travelling at a safe speed and taking the school zone into account, the driver left a safe distance between himself and the car ahead.
But that changed when a driver threw caution to the wind and recklessly forced the truck driver to give way.
"A 36-year-old Merrylands man has been fined after not giving way while changing lanes at Mosman yesterday morning," a NSW Police Force spokesperson told nine.com.au.
"Officers attached to Central Metropolitan Traffic and Highway Patrol issued the 36-year-old with a penalty notice for the offence of not give way moving from one marked lane to another."
"The infringement notice carries a fine of $325 and the loss of three demerit points."
