Major roads closed after fire breaks out in Dandenong
Major roads are closed in Dandenong after a fire broke out overnight.
The blaze erupted late at night on Lonsdale Street, before being brought under control early this morning.
The Princes Highway remains closed outbound between Clow Street and Foster Street, and between Walker Street and Langhorne Street.

People are advised to use Clow Street and Foster Street to avoid the closures.
Although the fire is under control, a large emergency presence remains on the scene, including police and firefighters.
At one point, more than 100 firefighters were deployed to the blaze, which was burning through a supermarket and a restaurant.

Some firefighters told 9News they were "exhausted" by the time the fire was under control.

The road closures are expected to remain in place for some time.
