CCTV shows moment car ploughs through Melbourne beauty salon

Owners of a Dandenong beauty salon are facing a hefty clean-up after a car ploughed through the front of the store this morning.

The elderly driver crashed through the front of the Outlook Drive business just after 10am.

CCTV shows the vehicle driving into a car park in front of the store before mounting the curb and smashing through the shopfront.

Salon owner Aamna Bilal said the store was closed at the time because an appointment had been rescheduled at the last minute.

"The waiting area is just completely gone," she said.

"Usually people they come, they sit over there, their kids are there, my kids are there, but thankfully, thankfully, no-one was there at that time."

The 82-year-old driver was transported to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
