Cyclist shot during roadside argument

A roadside argument between four men has ended with a cyclist being shot at in the NSW Illawarra region.

A 26-year-old cyclist and three men, who were on two motorcycles, pulled up at an intersection in Barrack Heights when the argument broke out on Sunday.

Police say one of the men pulled out a gun and fired a shot towards the cyclist before speeding off.

Police later found a shell casing, which has been taken for forensic examination.

When police spoke to the cyclist, he allegedly refused to give a statement about the shooting.
