Curious cocky steals show on traffic camera

A curious cockatoo has inadvertently stolen the show on a traffic camera in Cairns.

Traffic appeared to be flowing smoothly on Murgatroyd Road West in Mount Sheridan, in the city’s south, when a bird sitting atop the camera blocked the view with its head as it pecked at the screen.

The video was uploaded to the Department of Transport and Main Roads Facebook page, urging drivers to “keep an eye out for this complete galah on the road today”.

The post has been shared more than 6000 times in the first two hours.
