For three days one three-year-old has been the single focus of an anxious community.

William Tyrrell has now been missing for more than 50 hours.

Along with more than 200 others, William’s parents searched through the night for their “little Spider-Man”.

And although the awful thought has not been voiced by the searchers, the worst outcome becomes more likely as times passes.

Police divers from Sydney searched dams and rivers around the property where William disappeared.

In the last three days, searchers have covered an area within a 10km radius of where William disappeared.

But experts have told police he is most likely within 1.5km from his grandmother's house, and that area today became their focus.

But with police dogs not picking a scent and no sign of William, detectives are remaining open to the possibility the boy was kidnapped.
