Crown executive jailed in China for promoting gambling released
An Australian Crown casino executive who was jailed in China for promoting gambling has reportedly been released from prison.
Jason O'Connor, head of Crown's international VIP gambling, was released from a Shanghai detention centre today.
He was immediately deported back to Australia.

The Melbourne father was sentenced to 10 months in jail and fined RMB2 million, or $A390,000, after he and 18 other Crown Resorts staff pleaded guilty to charges of illegal promotion of gambling on the Chinese mainland.
It was O'Connor's job to lure high-rollers in China back to Australia.
