Crowds turns on man harassing Sydney busker

A Manly NIMBY underestimated his suburb's love of live music as he was berated by audiences for trying to pull the pin on a local busker's performance.

Frustrated by the noise one musician with a guitar was making, a Manly resident whose property fronts The Corso confronted the young man in an attempt to shame him.

His plan spectacularly backfired however as dozens of fans surrounded the arguing pair and cheered for more music.

Refusing to "get out his face," the complainant stood his ground as muso Declan Kelly went back to work, mocking his agitator through his lyrics. The roar of the crowd eventually forced the elderly local to capitulate and admit defeat.

"Yep this just happened at Manly market , lil ol me playing tunes aggressively told mid song to turn the Fff down. I gave him my calm response to step away though he would not," he commented online.

"Was gratifying having the crowd turn on him and tell him were (sic) it's at ... 2016."

The footage, posted to Facebook by Emma Leslie this afternoon, has already been seen by more than 3000 people with most comments in favour of the musician.
