Crime Stoppers to get funding boost

Crime Stoppers will be handed $3 million of federal funding to continue its crime prevention and detection operations.

The organisation is contacted around 880 times a day by members of the public, leading to almost 7000 arrests last year.

Justice minister Michael Keenan is in Melbourne on Saturday to make the announcement.
