Crime fighters being merged

Two of Australia's key law enforcement and criminal information agencies are being merged.
Justice Minister Michael Keenan on Thursday introduced legislation to merge CrimTrac and the Australian Crime Commission.
Mr Keenan said this would allow CrimTrac's IT specialists to work side by side with the commission's top intelligence analysts "to pursue and undermine evolving national security threats".
