Crash victim killed by car while trying to get help
A man has been fatally struck by a car while trying to get help after his own vehicle crashed in Queensland's Wide Bay region.
Police believe the man lost control of his own car and crashed into a ditch on Maryborough-Biggenden Road at Oakhurst – west of Maryborough – about 8pm yesterday.
He left his car and went to the road to seek help from passing drivers, but was hit by a vehicle as he went to return to his car, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
