Crane carrying Big W sign falls onto road and causes traffic delays

A crane has left a mess after collapsing and falling onto a road in Brisbane, causing major traffic delays.
The crane remains lying in the middle of the road in Mitchelton after attempting to carry a Big W sign outside a shopping centre at 5.40am local time.
It appears the weight of the sign was misjudged and the crane has come crashing down.

Traffic into the city is being heavily impacted by the incident and drivers are being urged to avoid Osborne Road.
Luckily, no-one has been injured.
A clean-up is underway with two cranes coming to remove the damaged crane.
The sign will also need to be cut up.
There are traffic diversions in place.
