Gunman on the run after shooting outside Melbourne home

A gunman is on the run after another man was shot outside a residence in Melbourne’s south-east this morning.
Authorities told 9News they were called to Elsmlie Drive in Cranbourne East around 6am after reports a 26-year-old man had been shot.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is now in a stable condition.

Investigators are examining the incident, and nearby residents have been interviewed.
It is believed the shooter and victim are known to each other.
Earlier blood could be seen splattered on the road, but light showers have since washed it away.
No arrests have been made.
