Man and woman bashed with metal pole in Sydney home invasion

A man and woman have been bashed with a metal pole during a violent home invasion in Sydney’s east overnight.

Two people forced their way into the Daceyville home just after 9pm (AEST).

Both of the house’s occupants suffered facial injuries, with the woman’s nose broken during the attack.

The offenders then fled on foot and the injured couple were taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.

Police believe the people involved all know each other.
