Countdown still on song for ABC ratings

Viewers took a step back in time on Sunday night to mark the 40-year anniversary of music show Countdown.

The first episode of the ABC's two-part documentary, Countdown: Do Yourself a Favour, was the fourth most-watched show with an audience of 965,000, while the Seven Network's real-life CCTV series Surveillance Oz was fifth (879,000).

They were the highest-rating non-news and public affairs shows.

The highest-rating program overall was Seven's Sunday Night (1.129 million).
