Cosgrove in France offers sympathies

Governor-General Peter Cosgrove says he's in shock over the deadly Bastille Day attack in the French city of Nice.

Sir Peter, who is in France, has offered his sympathies to the government and people of France.

"On a day where Australians marched alongside their French counterparts this cruel attack has struck innocents celebrating their national day," he said in a statement on Facebook.
