On 11 February 2020, Nine Gold Coast News broadcast reports about the arrest of 8 people following a series of police raids, as part of a major operation involving State and Federal police.

Those reports included images of a man, incorrectly describing him as a member of the 'Lone Wolves' motorcycle gang.

The man depicted in the report was not a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang. Nine Gold Coast News clarifies that the man depicted was charged with 'contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically', and is not accused of drug or firearm offences.
