New cases of coronavirus in South Australia

Three people in South Australia have today been confirmed to have coronavirus, the Premier announced.

Two of those cases are patients who have recently travelled from overseas.

"Case 17 is a female in her 30s who has travelled to the United Kingdom," Premier Steven Marshall said this morning.

"We have case 18, a male in his 50s who has travelled to the United States in case 19 is a female in her 80s, she has travelled overseas and also has come into contact with another of the known cases and she lives in a private residence."

Six people who have been infected with coronavirus in South Australia have been discharged from hospital.

Thirteen people are currently isolated, most within major hospitals there.

Testing stations across the city have been busy, but despite fears people are being turned away, the chief public health officer Nicola Spurrier insists the state is prepared.

"I am very confident that we are providing an excellent level of testing in South Australia," she said.
