QR code headaches as SA rolls out new check-in system
South Australia's first day with its QR code check-in system caused a lot of headaches, with many people unable to even access the app until this afternoon.
The QR code check-ins became mandatory at venues and businesses around the state from today.
But the government's mySA GOV app was not available on the iPhone until after 2pm.

Some needed to delete, then re-install the app to get it working.
"People were trying to get hold of the executives in America, but unfortunately they were asleep," Chief Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier said.
Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said "these things do occur" with "complex IT projects".
Some businesses fell back on the hard copy, manually signing in customers who couldn't use the codes.
The mySA GOV app can now be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
The user's information is stored in a government database for 28 days, after which it is destroyed.

Premier Steven Marshall has said the data would only be used by COVID-19 contract tracers, in the event of an outbreak.
"I feel very confident South Australians are going to embrace this," Professor Spurrier said.
"It's actually a game-changer for us."
The state recorded no new COVID-19 cases today, leaving the status of the Parafield cluster unchanged.
