NSW records no new local virus cases for a fortnight

New South Wales has recorded no new cases of locally acquired COVID-19 overnight, marking two weeks since the last case of community transmission in the state.

There were 10 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in overseas travelled in hotel quarantine.

This brings the total number of cases in NSW to 4, 338.

There were 16,329 tested conducted in the 24 hours before 8pm.

NSW is currently treating 70 people with COVID-19, but none are in intensive care.

NSW Health is asking people arriving in NSW from South Australia by whatever mode of transport to complete a declaration form about whether they had visited any areas of concern.

The NSW government said the easing of restrictions around live events and performances was contingent on the state reaching 14 days without a case of coronavirus.

Under the proposed changes, venues will be able to go up to 75 per cent capacity.
