More than 6800 fines totalling $5 million issued for COVID-breaches in July
July was the biggest month for COVID-related fines since the pandemic began in NSW.
A total of 6815 tickets worth $5 million were handed out - that figure is 25 times higher than June of this year.
The most common infringement notices were for people failing to comply with the health directions.

These fines totalled $3.6 million.
Fines totalling $553,000 were issued to individuals failing to comply with public health requirement, and people travelling from Sydney to outside your area were fined a total of $142,000.
All fines except one were issued by NSW Police. The exception was issued by the NSW Food Authority.
Fine were increased dramatically during August so next month these figures could climb even higher.
