Five flights in regional NSW with confirmed COVID-19 cases on board

Five flights across Central West NSW contained passengers with confirmed cases of Coronavirus as of 5pm today.

Five flights entering and exiting Dubbo, Bathurst and Orange airports are confirmed to have cases of COVID-19, after they were added to the NSW Health watch list, 9News can confirm.

Of the 179 known flights with cases of the disease, five have been in the Central-West.

Passengers on the following flights, particularly those in close contact, are urged to monitor for symptoms:

- Sydney to Dubbo on March 10, Regional Express flight XL852. Close contact (CC) rows 1, 2, 3, 4

- Dubbo to Sydney on March 10, Qantas flight QF2039. CC rows 1, 2, 3, 4

- Sydney to Bathurst on March 16, Regional Express flight ZL628. CC rows 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

- Sydney to Dubbo on March 20, Qantas flight QF2046. CC rows 12, 13, 14, 15, 16

- Sydney to Orange on March 21, Regional Express flight ZL166. CC rows 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

The number of Coronavirus cases in the Central-West has jumped over the past week, from five to 22, a number which is growing daily.

NSW Health recommends anyone who is suffering severe symptoms including shortness of breath or difficulty of breathing to seek medical help, but call before attending any emergency departments.

It is believed all the people connected with these flights have been contacted by NSW Health.
