Australia's wine centre shuts down for coronavirus

Holiday and wine destination the Barossa Valley in South Australia is reeling under the new tourism restrictions.

SA Health is now advising all non-essential travellers to avoid the region.

It's a blow to local businesses like Josh Moffat's, which rely on visitors to stay afloat.

Mr Moffat told 9News that tourism accounted for "at least 70 per cent" of his business.

Corey Echner's family, meanwhile, has been baking bread in the region for almost a century.

"We've been alive for 95 years and I'd hate to have to start saying that've we've had to shut down," he said.

Those businesses still open say they hope to keep trading while they're allowed, but little or no foot traffic may force them to close.
