Carpool karaoke took a strange turn turn when host James Corden challenged Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis to wrestle on a stranger's front lawn before returning to the car to sing topless with the band.

The popular segment started out like any other but soon the conversation turned to physical battles.

"I love a good man wrestle," Corden told Kiedis.

"I'll wrestle you anytime you want and I'll destroy."

Corden then pulled over at the nearest lawn but failed to live up to his own hype, being taken down and pinned by the singer as the rest of the band jeered and laughed.

Back in the car the band and TV host had just belted out a rendition of 'Under The Bridge' when Corden said he almost didn't recognise them with their clothes on.

Kiedis said that he felt "a bit encumbered" by clothes and started to strip off, prompting Corden to do the same.

The pair quickly removed their shirts along with bassist Flea and sung 'Zephy Song'.

"As soon as I took my top off, it made me feel great," Corden said
