Convicted paedophile Milton Orkopoulos is facing allegations he sexually assaulted another two boys while a Labor MP in the 1990s.

Detectives have informed Orkopoulos he will be hit with another eight charges in court next week of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and supplying a prohibited drug.

The offences allegedly committed in the Newcastle area when he was the member for Swansea.

He was the Aboriginal Affairs Minister when he was arrested in 2006 and was later convicted of 30 offences related to the supply of cannabis and heroin as well as the sexual and indecent assault of three male victims.

He served almost 12 years behind bars before he was released on parole last December.

But while living in a halfway house he was rearrested by police who alleged he breached his conditions when he used a mobile phone and set up an Instagram account.

He was behind bars when he was hit with more charges related to the alleged assault of two boys in the Newcastle area.

The latest offences mean he is now accused of sexual offences against four boys.
