Concern for missing non-verbal Melbourne woman

Police are searching for a young Melbourne woman who is non-verbal after she went missing more than a day ago.

Yasmina, 20, was last seen in the city's outer-east in Bridges Avenue, Mooroolbark, yesterday.

The woman's family and police remain concerned about her wellbeing as she has a medical condition.

Victoria Police in a statement said she is non-verbal but would respond to writing.

She is known to frequent the Montrose area, in particular parklands, and has a tendency to hide.

Police have released an image of the woman in the hope that someone may recognise her and provide information on her whereabouts.

She is described as being approximately 152cms tall, with fair skin, brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue pants.

Anyone who sees Yasmina is urged to call triple-zero immediately.
