Clarification: ebet

On 15 July 2024, 9News in Sydney broadcast a report about The Star casino shutting down its poker machines after a technical issue with an upgrade completed in preparation for the change to cashless gaming. That report included images of poker machines from a different venue, referencing the cashless gaming system operator ebet, which was included inadvertently. 9News does not suggest that ebet is in any way connected with the issues experienced by The Star, and accepts that ebet has no relationship with The Star or involvement in the recent shutdown.
