Man reportedly hit by truck in Sydney's west
A man has reportedly been hit by a truck in Sydney’s west this morning, causing heavy traffic delays along Parramatta Road at Lidcombe.
Paramedics treated two patients after the collision and diversions are in place at Parramatta Road and Alban Street in Auburn.
A pedestrian and truck were involved in a crash, the Transport Management Centre said.
The male pedestrian was hit by the truck and has been taken to Westmead Hospital, 2DayFM reported.
Citybound motorists are being diverted into Wetherill Street.
Peak hour traffic is at a standstill.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said they were still trying to confirm details from the scene.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area if they can or to allow plenty of additional travel time.
