Malcolm Turnbull says the government is confident amended laws to strip Australian citizenship from dual-national terrorism suspects will withstand a High Court challenge.

The anti-terrorism laws have been amended in line with a bipartisan committee report calling for greater oversight and protection of rights.

"It's gone through a proper process now, and we are confident that it would survive a High Court challenge, but only time will tell," the prime minister told reporters in Canberra.
