Young girl approached by man in white van in NSW town
The hunt is on for a man in a white van who allegedly tried to abduct a young girl in northern New South Wales.
About 6.45pm on Tuesday, police say an 11-year-old girl was sitting on the side of the road on Rouse Street, Tenterfield, when a white van stopped next year.
A man got out of the driver's side and allegedly asked her to get in the van.

The child immediately fled.
Police are looking to speak to a Caucasian man aged in his late 40s, with a large build, greying brown hair and beard, and a bald spot on top.
He was last seen wearing a white singlet, light-coloured jeans, and black shoe.
