A cordless hand-held brushless hedge trimmer sold nationally has been recalled due to a laceration hazard.

Product Safety Australia said the trimmer may have defective rear switch triggers, which could cause the product to activate suddenly.

"There is a risk of serious injury including laceration if the hedge trimmer activates unexpectedly," the recall said.
