Chauffeur charged with dealing cocaine from Mercedes in Sydney

A chauffeur has been charged after allegedly ferrying drugs rather than passengers around Sydney.

Police will allege the 41-year-old man used his black Mercedes hire car to deliver cocaine to the CBD and eastern suburbs.

He was arrested about 1.10pm yesterday (AEDT), after police caught him allegedly selling two grams of cocaine in a Haymarket car park.

The arrest was the result of a two month investigation, police said.

After the arrest, detectives raided an Arncliffe home and seized steroids.

The man has been charged with a range of drug offences including supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, two counts of supplying prohibited drugs, possessing prohibited drugs, and possessing or attempting to possess a prescribed restricted substance.

He was granted conditional bail and is expected to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on January 13 next year.
