A female staff member at a western Sydney KFC has had a chair thrown at her during an assault overnight.
Police were called to the fast foot restaurant on Canterbury Road in Roselands at about 10pm last night following reports of an assault.
Officers were told three men came into the KFC and started arguing with staff before a chair was thrown at a 25-year-old staff member.
The three men left the scene in a white coloured Mazda sedan before police arrived.
The female staff member was treated by ambulance officers at the scene for a possible arm injury before being taken to Canterbury Hospital as a precaution.
Detectives and specialist forensics officers have examined the KFC and a crime scene has been set up.
