CCTV release leads to arrest in Kylie Blackwood murder investigation
A day after releasing CCTV footage which they suspected would help them solve the murder of Melbourne mother Kylie Blackwood, police have arrested a man in relation to the murder
It has been two-and-a-half years since Victorian mum Kylie Blackwood was murdered in her own home and now, her family may be on the verge of finding out why.
Homicide detectives have arrested Scott Alan Murdoch, 38, charging him with one count of murder.
Murdoch, who currently resides in Morwell, appeared before court in an out-of-session hearing this evening.
The arrest comes a day after police released CCTV footage they said was so significant, it could solve the investigation.
The key piece of evidence was a white car, seen in the area before and after the Pakenham murder.
Murdoch has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on tomorrow morning.
