CCTV captures moment alleged drink driver smashes into several vehicles

A quiet afternoon on the Fraser Coast has been pierced by an out-of-control van, which burst onto the scene in a cloud of debris.

The driver, who police will allege was more than five times the legal alcohol limit, clipped a cyclist moments before smashing into several parked cars in the seaside town of Woodgate.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with fractures.

The driver will face court later this week.
