Police Air Wing footage has captured the moment six teens in an allegedly stolen car tried to run from officers after a high-speed police pursuit.

A teenage boy has been charged after six teenagers were arrested following the police pursuit across Melbourne's south-east overnight.

Police allegedly first spotted a stolen Porsche driving erratically along the Monash Freeway about 4.20am.

The six teens were allegedly packed into the luxury vehicle, with the driver allegedly clocking up speeds of 240 km/hr.

Air Wing tracked the Porsche to Huntingfield Road in Toorak, where officers deployed stop sticks shortly after 5am.

The pursuit came to a halt in Queens Avenue in Caulfield East, with police quickly arresting the six teenagers.

"There was a ruckus outside, helicopters everywhere, shouting slamming doors and people running around," resident Gary Heath said.

The alleged driver is a 16-year-old boy from Glen Iris, who was out on bail at the time.

He has been charged with a string of offences including theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police and burglary.

He was remanded and will return to court at the end of the month.

A 15-year-old Dingley Village boy was charged with theft of motor vehicle and will appear at a children's court at a later date.

Police believe the Porsche was stolen from a property in Kew East on October 29.
