A four-wheel-drive and a hatchback have been pulled from a backyard swimming pool after a colliding in Melbourne’s south-west last night.

Police said a parked Holden Astra was hit by a Nissan on Edwards Road, Werribee, and was pushed through the fence of a home on the street about 6.30pm.

Images obtained by 9NEWS showed the Holden completely submerged in the pool.

The red 4WD’s bonnet appeared to be ripped open by the impact of the crash.

“It was a really horrid bang, like a crack of thunder,” witness Anne Nazari said.

No one was injured in the crash.

Officers said the driver of the Nissan may have suffered a medical episode at the time of the incident, but investigations are ongoing.
