Young motorbike rider killed after colliding with pole in Melbourne's south-east

A young motorbike rider has died in Melbourne's south-east overnight after his motorcycle collided with a light pole.

The 21-year-old Narre Warren South man was travelling along Boundary Road, Carrum Downs when he hit and clipped a curb and then struck a light pole before coming to rest under a tree about 9:30pm.

The man died at the scene and police are continuing to investigate the crash.
