Sydney man arrives home unaware of danger lurking before he can get inside
A man has been arrested and another is on the run after an alleged armed crime spree during which they struggled to start a car they were stealing.
Returning home after a night out with mates, Usman Haider pulled into his Claymore driveway unaware of what was lurking.
At the same time, about 11pm, security vision captured a man in a hooded jumper calmly strolling past.

But seconds later, using a neighbour's car as cover, he picks a moment to pounce.
Haider said the man pointed a gun at him and asked for his keys.
An alleged accomplice arrived and the pair jumped in Haider's car, but it was far from a quick getaway.
Unable to start the car, the pair were forced to demand Haider do it for them.
"They got the keys, they jumped in the car … they didn't even know how to start a car," Haider told 9News.
"It was a hybrid, you know.
"I was asking them it's not worth it, just don't do it. And they show me a gun and ask me to start the car for them."

Haider did as he was told but the pair did not get far, crashing a few kilometres down the road in Campbelltown.
Police allege the incident was part of a crime spree that started an hour earlier in the nearby suburb of Woodbine.
The men allegedly bashed a mother in front her kids and took her car.
"She told me they hit her head, this side with the gun, and they got a machete," the woman's husband, Peter Deng, told 9News.
"My daughter heard her crying, she opened the door and they tried to hit my daughter."
Deng's wife remains in hospital.
After the eventual crash in Campbelltown, the two men fled on foot.

One was arrested and charged while the other remains on the run.
Investigations are ongoing.
