Car crashes off Coronation Drive on to bike path, narrowly missing Brisbane River

A driver has been hospitalised after his car crashed off Coronation Drive and on to the popular riverside bike path below.
Just before midday the car plunged off Coronation Drive and hit powerlines, coming to a rest across the bike path, near Cribb Street at Milton.
The vehicle was being driven by a man in his 60s and he was the only one inside, according to an ambulance spokeswoman.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Woman's Hospital in a stable condition, and is believed to have suffered a medical episode.
The crash has caused delays for outbound drivers, with the downed powerlines expected to take some time to fix.
The bike path is also blocked.
No one else was injured in the crash.
