A woman has died after a two-vehicle crash on Toongabbie Road, in western Sydney, this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports of a truck and car crash in Toongabbie just before 3.15pm (AEDT), a NSW Police Force spokeswoman said.
The female driver of the car, believed to be aged in her fifties, was taken by helicopter to Westmead Hospital but died shortly after arriving, she said.
Initial reports suggest the truck driver did not suffer serious injuries.
Toongabbie Road was closed between Portia Road and Gilba Road due to the crash, and police investigations are ongoing.
Diversions are in place, and drivers have been advised to allow extra travel time.
