Woman in critical condition after multi-vehicle crash on major Sydney road

A woman has been transported to hospital in critical condition after a multi-vehicle crash on Sydney's M5 motorway.

Emergency services were called just to Henry Lawson Drive, Milperra, just before 11am following reports of a crash involving two trucks and a Hyundai sedan.

Seven ambulance crews attended the scene as well as paramedics who treated the driver for head injuries.

Paramedics began treating the driver of the Hyundai, a 31-year-old woman, who was reportedly ejected from the vehicle in the collision.

She was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition after suffering serious head injuries.

The uninjured truck drivers, two men aged 26 and 49, were taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.

An investigation is now underway.
