Cancer-stricken toddler requests 500 Christmas cards

A two-year-old US girl with cancer has asked strangers to send her Christmas cards as she battles the disease.

Indiana toddler Kaydence Weaver has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of soft tissue cancer, FOX59 reports.

Kaydence’s aunty and carer, Misty Deavers, said she often comes up with wild ideas and was inspired by the story of another sick child who received “get well” cards.

But instead of “get well” cards, Kaydence requested Christmas cards.

Ms Deavers said she reached out to social media and has received some interest, but is not sure how many cards Kaydence and her sister Salem will receive.

"As long as they have something that I can read to them, and something that they can open up and know that they have something there, whatever they get I know they'll be happy with whatever the results are," she told FOX59.
