Cambridges attend Canberra dawn service
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made a surprise appearance at the dawn service at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
Prince William and Kate joined Governor-General Peter Cosgrove at the event to mark the 99th anniversary of the dawn landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli.
The royal couple made a discreet entrance to the event, where thousands are gathered.
William, who served in the RAF for several years, is wearing his service medals.
They had not been scheduled to attend the dawn service - an Australian and New Zealand tradition.
Later on Friday, William and Kate will end their 10-day Australian tour by attending the mid-morning national commemorative service.
They will lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier and there's a tree planting on the line up.
Following the official duties the couple and their son, Prince George, will fly out of Australia.
