Heartwarming gift for busker left bloodied by attack
A man charged over an alleged attack on a busker claims his actions were sparked by a "racist" lyric.
Barry Siecker, a father of three, was arrested by witnesses yesterday after the Adelaide incident.
Police allege they found a knife and drugs on him.

The 29-year-old's lawyer told a magistrate today his client said the attack was a stand against racism due to the busker's lyrics about an "Asian girl with her coffee".
But busker Matt, who was injured in the alleged attack, said he was "absolutely not racist".
"I just hope he gets his life together," he said.

Siecker swore as he was denied bail today.
The prosecutor claimed he was a danger to the public, having breached bail 26 times previously.
Meanwhile, Matt said he was rattled by the incident, but won't stop performing.

And he's had a lot of support from strangers.
Instrument store owner Greg Cooper provided the busker with a new ukulele.
"It actually showed the damage, and I thought, he can't use that again, so I thought, well, why don't we offer him a replacement," he said.
