A bushfire emergency has been declared for Perth, in Tasmania’s north, with firefighters warning burning embers could soon fall on properties.
The Tasmanian Fire Service said the fire will put Drummond Street Cemetery Road and Napoleon Street, at high risk.
“This fire will be difficult to control,” a Tasmanian Fire Service statement said.
