Watch and Act warning issued for Booderee National Park bushfire
A Watch and Act warning has been issued for a fire on the NSW South Coast.
The blaze has taken hold in Booderee National Park, south-west of Jervis Bay Airport, in the Shoalhaven region.
The fire is burning in the south-easterly direction and driven by north-westerly winds.

At this stage there is no threat to property.
However, people near Wreck Bay Village have been urged to follow their bushfire survival plan.
The heatwave gripping the south-east of Australia is set to peak today, with parts of NSW on track to record their hottest spell of weather in decades.

Fire danger ratings across the state range from low-moderate to very high, though the more dangerous categories of severe, extreme and catastrophic are excluded from today's fire map, and no total fire bans are in place.
The Booderee fire is the only one rated Watch and Act in NSW currently, but a number of Advice warnings are also in place throughout the state.
