Hero bus driver helps lost toddler find his way home

A US bus driver has been heralded as a hero after helping a lost two-year-old find his way home.

Duane Butler was driving in Milwaukee when he spotted the toddler walking alone along a street about 6.30am on July 14.  

Video uploaded by the Milwaukee County Transit System shows the driver stopping the bus to check on the two-year-old.

“Whose baby is that?” he asked, before a passenger stepped off the bus to lend assistance, hearing the boy was lost.

Bringing him back onto the bus, Mr Butler called police while the passenger comforted the young child.

When police arrived, an officer took the boy’s hand and began door knocking until he found his home and reunited with his mother.

According to officials, the toddler had slipped out of his home while his family was sleeping.
